“the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”
We believe, choosing a product or service solely on price is generally a losing situation and people almost always end up paying more in the long run when price alone is the controlling factor, as the lowest price may not always be what it seems and would not include the add-ons or other aspects that are hidden away. We encourage clients to move beyond focusing solely on price and consider what “customer value” is - it is something which can only be achieved by factoring in price, quality, service and reputation. Our policy aim is to be 100% transparent always, that is why our concern is to ensure that none of our client’s ever experience that “bitterness”, we may not be the cheapest and we are to modest to say that we are the best but we take a pride in every aspect of the way we deal with our clients and their requirements because our space is your space and we do not want to disappoint anyone who is prepared to put their faith in our expertise

REFERENCE FOR LEWIS INTERIORS LIMITED - RENOVATION 40C LANCASTER PARK
We contracted Lewis Interiors Limited, led by Adam Lewis, to undertake a full renovation of the above mentioned property. The renovation involved a complete redesign of the interior of the house and the conversion of an integral garage into living space. This included new interior walls, bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, a complete new electrical set up, plumbing and the installation of under-floor heating. From the outset, Adam was a meticulous project manager and presented the most comprehensive and professional proposal when we were selecting a contractor for our house. This attention to detail continued throughout the project. His team were professional and courteous at all times. Adam is very responsive and was quick to address concerns and issues. He was always proactive in explaining where the project plans were moving away from the original scope. This included a thorough evaluation of the impacts, alternatives and the financial consequences of the decisions that invariably have to be made during a project of this nature. While this may generate some in-depth debates and conflict during a project, for us it was a more effective way to manage the overall build and avoided storing up issues until the end and final settlement and allowed us to manage our resources and budget effectively. We have been very happy with the end result of the project and it has transformed the house and how we live in the property. We now have far more living space and a more enjoyable lifestyle.

REFERENCE FOR LEWIS INTERIORS LIMITED - EXTENSION AND FIT-OUT 37 CLOVELLY ROAD EALING
Adam's company built a large extension (designed by Duncan Foster Architects) to the back of our property in Ealing. “We are extremely pleased with the results and after over a year, we have had no need for any snagging. The subcontractors and technicians Adam employed were all highly skilled. The brick layers, carpenters and plasterers were brilliant.

REFERENCE FOR LEWIS INTERIORS LIMITED - RENOVATION & LOFT CONVERSION 26 PRIORY ROAD KEW
To Prospective Clients of Lewis Interiors I am very happy to provide a reference for Adam Lewis and the business he leads, Lewis Interiors.
Adam and his team completed quite a sizeable and complicated loft conversion project for us including, installation of new bathrooms and a full redecoration of the house. We moved out whilst the bulk of the work was done, moving back the week before Christmas as planned. Adam and his team were excellent throughout - very professional, courteous and skilled. A§dam is a great project manager and the sub-contractors that he has brought in for electrics, plumbing, joinery, decoration etc have been superb. Adam is easy to work with, answers the phone when you call or calls back quickly, addresses concerns or issues as they arise and most importantly for me gave excellent advice - where there were 2 or more ways of dealing with something he gave me the options, the merits and his opinion. We are very happy with the end result. There have been - as in any projects some snagging to do at the end of the project; again handled quickly and professionally. Adam may not be the cheapest - but throughout the project we knew exactly where we stood on the costs and there were no surprises. We had no disagreements with him about money. I would happily recommend Adam - and we plan to hire him again next year when we undertake another project. Good luck

REFERENCE FOR LEWIS INTERIORS LIMITED - RENOVATION & LOFT CONVERSION 11 NOTTINGHAM ROAD ISLEWORTH
I am happy to provide Adam of Lewis Interiors Limited with a reference.
The works undertaken include:
Loft conversion with en-suite
New windows throughout
Knock through lounge and dining room
Relocate and replace family bathroom
Knock through kitchen and old bathroom into large eat in kitchen (also fully replaced)
Rewire throughout and install replacement lighting
Re-plumb throughout including water main
Install new central heating system including underfloor in bathroom areas
Fit fire suppression system
New interior walls, plastering, decorating
New floor joists and floor boards
Rectify historical subsidence under advice of structural engineer
As you will see, it was a very extensive project which came in at around £195k. There were a number of unforeseen problems such as rot and woodworm, but whenever this happened Adam was very quick to let me know and did not undertake any more work until he had explained the problem to me and shown me in person what it meant.
He has a keen eye for design himself and gave us a lot of useful advice on the design, particularly of the kitchen and family bathroom. The project overran in time and budget, but as above these were reasons beyond Adam's control and were fully explained to me as they arose and Adam did everything he could to manage the situation. All variations were agreed up front and were explained fully in terms of cost and time impact.
Adam and his team were very tidy (even the neighbours commented as such) and the quality of the finish is absolutely incredible - we are very happy with our new house and the snagging was rectified quickly and efficiently.

REFERENCE FOR LEWIS INTERIORS LIMITED - RENOVATION 20 ST. MARGRET’S GROVE
When we bought the house it was a standard 2 up, 2 down with a half extension to the rear.
We enlisted Adam's services to carry out the relocation of the staircase from the centre of the house to the side which has given us a much more usable, open plan living space on the ground floor.
The task sounds straight forward enough but it actually required considerable effort due to the removal of the load bearing walls etc.
In summary, the work included the following:
- Removed old staircase and supporting walls
- Supplied and installed new steel supports and foundation work
- Rewiring
- Plumbing for radiator relocations etc
- Restored original pine floorboards in ground floor living space
- Re-decorated the entire house
- Supplied and fitted new carpets
- Supplied and fitted new bespoke joinery (details below)
Anthony's Howard (Adam’s subcontractor) of Ashwood Interiors Woodcraft services were enlisted to build bespoke cabinets for under the stairs and creating a storage unit for our TV equipment etc with Adam’s fitters fitting them onsite. These were expensive but the end result has proved worth the cost.
We ended up spending more overall than originally quoted but this was due to extras we agreed needed addressing such as dangerous old electrical work uncovered etc.
The site was kept tidy and we didn't receive any complaints from neighbours during the work.
Adam is also very responsive and we never had any problems contacting him during the job.
One unexpected bonus we found with using Adam was his ability to provide great design ideas as the job progressed, particularly around modifications to the joinery which made a lot more sense than what had been suggested by our architect. He also came up with a plan for a built in bunk bed for our daughters' bedroom which has given them a lot more space in what would otherwise has been a very cluttered space.
Overall, we cannot recommend Lewis Interiors Adam highly enough. You hear plenty of horror stories of bad builders around London so we feel we really lucked out in finding him. We put them under considerable time pressure as we were between houses and basically homeless for a few weeks while the work was being carried out however the job was finished on schedule and to an excellent standard.

REFERENCE FOR LEWIS INTERIORS LIMITED - PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR
Adam Lewis has asked me to write a reference for Lewis Interiors Limited
Lewis Interiors have undertaken two projects for me in the two years.
The first was a commercial project for a national company which involved working in an occupied building and involved some difficult structural alterations which included concrete cutting. The value of the work was in the order of £150,000.00.
The second project involved completing a part finished high standard residential project in Balham London by a contractor who had abandoned the project. The works involved taking up a concrete floor and installing a new floor with a DPM as well as significant alterations to a completed loft conversion which had been constructed without proper cross ventilation and other structural components which had been omitted. This was an extremely difficult project that involved liaising with Building Control and a Client who had been previously exposed to the worst of the building industry. Many parts of the building had been finished and the works involved careful removal of bathrooms and kitchens to complete the remedial work and the reinstatement of those elements.
The finishes achieved were of a high standard and the Client was most pleased.

REFERENCE FOR LEWIS INTERIORS LIMITED - STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS 1
Adam Lewis has asked us to write a letter of reference for the work of Lewis Interiors Limited
We have known Adam since 2005, when LIL won a Tender for a beautiful extension project in Twickenham; since then we have worked with him on various domestic refurbishment projects.
Most recently we worked on a house on a sloping site in Isleworth, adding a full width extension and partial basement. Adam called us into assist when it became obvious that the package of information provided at Tender was inadequate for the complexity of structural work involved. The existing house was revealed to be very poorly constructed and significant remedial work was required. Adam was proactive in suggesting solutions to the problems arising on site, allowing the project to proceed smoothly despite the challenges, and expanding brief.
Adam is a ‘hands-on’ Contractor and has an enthusiastic and skilled team to meet the needs of the projects he undertakes in the refurbishment sector.

I've known and worked with Adam Lewis since leaving The Budgen Partnership (Civil & Structural Consulting Engineers) and joining Structural Engineers Michael Baigent Orla Kelly in 2007 as Associate Director. Lewis Interiors relationship with MBOK predates my arrival but during my period, they tendered on several projects within the practice and were appointed as Main Contractors on a number of jobs some under my supervision. These included projects with notable Architect's the practice had the pleasure of working with on a repeat basis. These projects were often to tight time scales, with awkward temporary works requirements along with challenging briefs. I left MBOK at the end of 2010 and set up my own practice and have had the pleasure of being able to work alongside Adam on a few further projects. Adam is very 'hands-on' and tackles the unexpected in a very positive, reassuring and confident manner. It is without hesitation and great pleasure that I'm recommending to you Lewis Interiors. If you have any questions please get in touch at any time.
