project appraisal & evaluation
A project appraisal is an indispensable activity to evaluate the case for proceeding with a project or proposal, or the project's viability.
We work within clearly defined specifications we are also flexible and can collaborate with your design team/preferred architects. We provide clear, detailed competitive pricing during pre-project quotation and at each of the fulfilment stages.
small works projects
We regularly complete a variety smaller works project’s for our client’s from maintenance and refurbishment to extensions, structural alteration, fit-out and for the most part these types of projects typically do not exceed £150k.
the scope of work;
We define our small works project’s which normally involves doing work inside and outside of the property while the client or occupants would ordinarily be in residence. In most circumstances we are able when required to facilitate temporary services to another room or part of the property not affected by the project work for use as a provisional kitchen, (bath, wash, w.c room) etc, or as required whilst the project is ongoing, this is popular because it necessitates the need and additional expense of moving out.
major projects
Our Client should interpret major project’s as considerable building work which requires the client or occupant to move out of the property for us to efficiently undertake the works.
such works may include;
The complete reconfiguration and refurbishment of existing properties to modern day standards
Structural alterations and fit-out’s for newly formed spaces in and outside the property
The building of subterranean or above ground extensions or of ancillary dwellings for use as extra living space and or guest accommodation, or for alternative recreational or even professional purposes
Extensive remodelling of interiors within the property and including outside spaces
Property conversions
Complete demolition of the property in readiness for new dwellings
The building of new houses
Pre-project evaluation considers cost versus the budget
To comprehensively cost assess the project design ensuring it adheres to the client’s budget at every stage
To advance alternative solutions to mitigate costs
We recommend to all clients not to delay getting in touch right at the project conception stage and that LIL’s collaboration with the client’s design team also starts as early as possible in the design process to ensure we can contribute to budget savings and the build-ability of your project
We’ll support you for the duration of the build and beyond
aftercare strategies
We will look after the entire project from concept to completion at the same time we know that the work just doesn’t stop once the build is complete for this reason LIL has extended aftercare for completed building and refurbishment works.
Aftercare Strategies enable LIL to do the maintenance and any repairs to keep your property in the best condition, to this end we can develop a maintenance regime that’s specific to your property and include an additional alteration services. These services are provided to accommodate any client’s alteration requirements or changes that you may wish to do.
In addition we can advise clients whether there are any specialist considerations that need to be made for their project such as Structural Calculations, or Planning or Building Regulation Approval.
